MRX PROGRAM OPERATION
Running MRX.
Change to the program directory and execute MRX.EXE or execute
MRX.EXE from any directory and pass the path to the program directory as
a parameter:
C:\MRX\MRX.EXE C:\MRX
a b c d
Where a: Drive Letter.
b: Directory Path.
c: Executable.
d: Path to Program Directory.
Once the program is running you will be greeted by a LOGON box
which prompts for your user identity. Your name is required so that results
and preferences can be maintained.
Navigating the Screen.
The Manager can be operated through the keyboard or via a mouse.
The Menu Bar gives primary access to the functions of MRX Manager. Press F10
to activate the Menu Bar or select the required command using a mouse. Hot
Keys are provided to speed operation, the following are supported:

ALT+F3 Close an open file / window.
F4 Morse Keyboard Lesson.
F5 Zoom Window.
ALT+F5 Morse Transmit Practice.
F6 Next open file / window.
ALT+F6 Previous file / window.
F7 Voice Morse Lesson.
F9 Morse Receive Lesson.
F10 Menu.
ALT+F10 Morse Transmit Lesson.
ALT+C Change Directory.
ALT+H Help Menu.
ALT+M Morse Menu.
ALT+N New file.
ALT+O Open file.
ALT+P Print File.
ALT+R View Results File.
ALT+S Save file.
ALT+V View Morse File.
ALT+X EXIT.
Manager Windows
The Morse Keyboard Manager supports multiple windows, which may be
moved, shuffled and re-sized. Hot keys, Menu selections or a mouse may
be used to open, close or save files. Displayed below are the mouse
commands available for a typical window:

Text Editor.
The text editor utilises generic text editor commands for ease of
manipulation. Multiple files may be opened and information may be copied
or moved between open files. A clipboard is used to handle information
transfers.
Text Editor Commands
The following is a list of edit commands:
Hot Key Explanation
SHFT + ARROW Block text - to move, delete or copy.
CTL + INS Copy block - copies block to clipboard.
SHFT + INS Paste block - copies block from the clipboard
to current cursor position.
SHFT + DEL Cut Block - moves block to clipboard.
CTL + DEL Delete Block - deletes selected block.
ALT + BACKSPACE Undo Change.
ALT+A Find Again.
ALT+E Exchange (Find & Replace).
ALT+F Find. This function will also work within the
HELP / RESULTS viewer.
Volume and Tone Control.
All morse selections allow the modification of Volume and Tone
during sounding. The Menu located on the bottom line of the screen
displays the following options:
1. ALT+X to EXIT;
2. UP/DOWN ARROW to ADJUST VOLUME;
3. LEFT/RIGHT ARROW to ADJUST TONE.
These menu keys may be pressed at any time while morse sounding
is in progress.
Exiting Prior to Lesson Completion.
Pressing ALT+X before the completion of interactive lessons will
result in the following actions:
1. The lesson will terminate.
2. A termination message will be written to the results file.
3. The lesson will have to be repeated.
